Arizona Off Highway Vehicle Coaltion (AZOHVC)

By | July 13, 2015
As you know ATR supports the Arizona Off Highway Vehicle Coaltion (AZOHVC) with donations through out the year however right now, though the end of July 2015,  the awesome folks at Blue Ribbon Tire Company (1446 N 24th Ave Phoenix, AZ 85009 – 602-973-0222) will match all donations dollar for dollar! This is an amazing offer and we are hoping everybody will throw something in the pot.  $10, $20, $50, $100…its all good and Blue Ribbon Tire will match it!  You can send a donation via PayPal to The AZOHVC started back in 1997 with three major groups, Arizona Trail Riders (ATR), Arizona State Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs (ASA4WDC) and the DSOB Quad Club all working on preserving OHV rights. In the Mid 2000’s they worked with the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) as it was determined that to further advance opportunities to preserve OHV rights the group would benefit from creating a 501C3 organization that could allow for application for more grants, allow for tax deductible donations from user groups and numerous other benefits that having a 501C3 would allow the group.Officially in 2006 the Arizona Off Highway Vehicle Coalition (AZOHVC) was created. The group continued efforts to preserve trails, develop working relationships with land management groups, learned that they needed to know land management regulations better then the land management groups, develop strategies to preserve rights and defend the public’s right to recreate on public lands using OHV’s.Since 2006 the AZOHVC has been very successful and protecting and developing OHV recreation across Arizona but it is only through your donations that we have the resources necessary to keep existing trails open, develop new OHV trails/areas, and educate legislators/land managers.

Also, the primary reason there is an OHV Sticker program is because the AZOHVC spent months working with legislators, land managers,  Az State Parks, Az Motor Vehicle Dept, AZ G&F, OHV Clubs, and others to develop and implement the AZ OHV Sticker Program.   It is because of the OHV Sticker Program that there is grant money for Arizona clubs and land managers to protect and develop OHV trails and areas across Arizona.

As President of ATR and AZOHVC I would urge you to take advantage of this very generous matching offer and donate.  $5, $10, $20,  whatever you can do would be very much appreciated.  You can read more about the AZOHVC at or look for Arizona Off Highway Vehicle Coalition on Facebook.

Please feel free to forward this information to your dirt bike friends and other clubs who are interested in preserving OHV recreation in Arizona.
