Sheridan Mountain Showdown 2014

By | March 25, 2014

The Arizona Trail Riders are hosting the final round of the 2013-2014 AMRA/MotoCity Off-road Championship and Round 4 of the WestChec AMA Western Checkpoint Enduro Championship on April 13, 2014 at the Sheridan Mountain Showdown Enduro held at Camp Wood, Arizona.  The event is being held under permit from the Prescott National Forest.

This restart format enduro is known for being a challenge for the participants due to the rocky trails and terrain which goes from pine forest to high desert with a 3500 feet elevation change (3000 ft – to 6500 ft).   This year the race course will be a little different with the AA/A/B course including never before raced trails to shake things up a little.  The AA/A/B participants will ride the same 80 mile course with 7 Test sections and the C participants will have a 50 mile course with 4 Test sections.

Unfortunately again this year there will not be a Mini race at the Sheridan Mountain Showdown.  The Arizona Trail Riders are working with the Prescott National Forest to develop at Mini course however these things take time.

The Optimist Club will be cooking delicious meals on Saturday night and Sunday morning only.  Details on the menu will be coming soon and we encourage everyone to support this organization.

Also for AMRA racers and workers this event is a Double Points event so you do not want to miss this race.  Pre Registration will open March 24th and close on Monday April 7th.  Please consider saving yourself some money and ATR some time by Pre-registering.  If you still need Worker Points please contact ATR at don.o.hood@cox.net and we will do our best to accommodate you.
