USFS offering $1000 Reward for Trail Vandals – Rebar Spikes

The U.S. Forest Service will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for placing spiked rebar on U.S. Forest Service roads and lands which resulted in at least eight slashed or punctured tires over the weekend of July 12, 2014.

The incident occurred near the community of Happy Jack close to the intersection of State Highway 87 and Lake Mary Road on the Coconino National Forest’s Blue Ridge Ranger District.
